The Role
Reporting to the Global Chief People Officer, this role will be instrumental in ensuring Condé Nast creates an inclusive culture in which every person can reach their full potential, and that will attract, develop, and engage extraordinary talent to fuel our growth. The Global Talent Head is responsible for all global Talent Management and Development programs and processes.
What will you be doing?
  • Drive the global talent strategy and its alignment with HR and business priorities.
  • Manage and support talent initiatives across diverse businesses, geographies and functions.
  • Act as a strategic business partner and adviser on all talent/learning related matters.
  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to developing the global People Function community in the area of Talent Management & Development.
  • A focus on career assessment and development programs and successfully enabling career development across the organisation is a key priority.
  • Build capabilities and experiences critical to strategy execution and transformation; develop agile business executives and future leaders and create an engaged workforce with access to the right learning and development programs.
  • Focus on increasing employee engagement and enabling an inclusive culture across the company. Responsible for delivery and oversight of the global employee engagement survey.
  • Responsible for the oversight and refinement of a global “Connect For Growth” performance and development enablement process.
  • Facilitate the Global Talent Review process with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and activate talent review processes across the organisation globally.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to help identify talent ready for rotation, promotion, succession, and/or mobility.
  • Responsible for program design and support to deliver management, leadership, compliance, mentorship and coaching programs, with close alignment to the business and succession planning outcomes.
  • Manage a team of Talent Management/Learning professionals; build a high performing team through recruiting, hiring, coaching, motivation, recognition, self-development, and support of career development.
  • Define and manage budget requirements to meet objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define appropriate scope and focus for Talent Management initiatives with key partners and stakeholders, including but not limited to: People Leadership Team, People Business Partners, Diversity + Inclusion, Talent Acquisition, In-Market HR, Global Employee Councils, and Business Leaders across the Company.
  • As a participant in the People Leadership Team (PLT), play an integral role in steering the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the People Function. Contribute to the design and execution of our people strategy, which is the blueprint for cultivating a vibrant, inclusive and high-performing organisational culture.
Who you are:
  • Extensive Talent Management-related experience in a senior role, and strong expertise in the development of talent programs in a global company.
  • Strong, proven experience of building and implementing talent and performance management programs globally.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced matrix environment.
  • Strong expertise in leadership and management development programs - from concept through delivery.
  • Ideally educated to degree level in Business, Learning & Development, Organisational Development, or a related field, or equivalent
Where will you be?
We encourage hybrid working but when you are in the office, this role will be primarily based in the wonderful Adelphi building with breathtaking views over the Thames and next to the hustle and bustle of The Strand. This is our London HQ and where members of our global teams sit enabling all of our award-winning content to be created.
