We are looking for a skilled and passionate Head Chef to lead the team at Queens Wine Bar and Bistro in Liverpool.This is a great opportunity for someone to oversee the food operation.Working closely with the Operations Manager and Group Chef, you will drive the food standards and quality of service and be heavily involved yet supported and guided in the development of future seasonal menus.We are looking for a Head Chef who:Has had experience in a senior chef position in a similar operationHas had experience and success in building, training and motivating a team of chefs • Is reliable, conscientious and punctual and will be a role model within the team • Is passionate about using fresh, seasonal and local produceWants to be involved in developing new dishes seasonally, within the style and ethos of QueensIs able to recruit, motivate and train junior members of the teamIs extremely organised, works well under pressure, has a flexible approach to working hours and leads by exampleIs able to adhere to company standards, specs and procedures and can hit financial and operational targets • Has strong verbal communication skills and can communicate daily to the relevant departmentsCan demonstrate experience in stocktaking and an understanding of menu costings • Has an excellent working knowledge of HACCP and COSHHHas minimum level 2 food hygiene certification, level 3 preferredWe are looking for an existing Head Chef but would consider a talented and experienced number two who is hungry to take on their own kitchen.
