Role: General Handyman/Woman
Hours: 25 hours per week. 5 Hours per day, flexibility on when you start
Ray Rate: £13.27 per hour
Location: North Bristol, Brentry
Are you looking for a rewarding role? Come join our team as a Handyman/Woman to ensure the homes of vulnerable adults are secure and safe.
United Response is a lead national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
Here at United Response we are looking to recruit a Handyman/woman to join our team based in Brentry, Bristol. You would be required to work 5 days per week for 5 hours with the occasional weekend.
Your tasks would include:
- Painting/decorating
- Carpentry, e.g. making shelf units
- Vehicle cleaning
- Fortnightly tip runs to dispose of items broken by PWS
- General gardening work such as; mowing the lawn and building garden structures
- Maintaining safety of paths, ramps and walkways
- Moving furniture, fixtures and fittings
- Health and safety checks
To apply as our role, you will need:
- Excellent and clear communication skills.
- Have an extensive knowledge of health and safety and risk management
- Previous experience of a maintenance or handy person role.
- To be able to cope under noisy and stressful environments
- An outstanding can-do attitude and the desire to work as a member of our team.
- Full UK drivers licence
