The role
We are looking for a passionate exponent of youth justice to further develop our high performing service following the retirement of our long standing current Head of Service
We are a complex geo-political area and the Youth Justice Service delivers across a four local authority patch of over 1000 square miles, over 1.1 M residents of which 250,000 are children.
Our most recent full joint Inspection published in December 2021 found us good with outstanding elements- one of which was leadership and governance and we are recruiting a talented, hardworking and experienced strategic manager to take us to the next level,
We will expect you to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of youth justice wider Childrens agenda particularly those children vulnerable to all forms of exploitation. You will demonstrate your ability to manage in a complex multi-agency environment, deliver against tight budgets but deliver high quality outcomes. We anticipate you will have experience of challenging inequity and disproportionality in outcomes as well a strong commitment to victim empathy.
You will have evidence of your ability to influence strategic development at local, regional and or national level.
