Job description
Do you play electric guitar? Do you make electronic projects?
A cutting-edge guitar effects pedal company is looking for someone to help assemble guitar pedals. Must have some experience soldering - and some basic electronic knowledge, but a keenness to learn is also important.
You must have great close-up vision (we use SMD parts - quite small), and an eye for detail while working quickly - and to be good at working with your hands too.
You would also take over and continue our busy schedule of social media posts.
You would be working from our workshop in west London, living within easy access.
Main duties
These include soldering parts, assembling and testing the pedals, helping get orders together - basically all the day-to-day aspects of producing top-quality stompboxes.
It’s important that you are an electric guitar obsessive, aware of all aspects of tone, and signal processing - with a good knowledge of the effects pedal field. However playing guitar would probably be a tiny fraction of the job; what’s essential is that you have made various audio electronic items previously - and have some working knowledge of electronics.
To plan out a monthly schedule of social media posts - videos, photos etc. - and organise the filming/shooting.
To originate ideas around up-coming events and promotions
Co-ordinate with our USA-based distributor for world-wide product launches.
Create and post Mailchimp mail-outs
In this role, you will be responsible for turning content ideas into videos, images, infographics, and text captions etc - that exactly fits what we’re about - for our Instagram, Youtube, and Tik Tok accounts.
This is a fun and interesting field of audio engineering, and it can be quite varied; you may be folding a lot of cardboard boxes, working on developing unique audio devices, building pedals for international shipments…
It’s five days per week, from 10am to 6pm.
About Us
Our vision is to inspire musicians to write great songs, great riffs, and just keep playing.
We take huge pride in the quality and design of our pedals; they’re beautiful things, coveted among guitar players everywhere.
We have a growing reputation for cutting-edge effects, and are part of the great British heritage of innovation. It can be a fun and exciting place to work; new ideas being tried out and talked about, music playing, international pedal launches to help co-ordinate, deadlines to meet...
We’re extremely passionate about what we do, making state-of-the-art pedals, making a cool noise with electric guitars.
We’re still quite small (about seven of us currently) so you’d see the results of your work directly.
