This Designer role sits within our Design team working across all of our brands across our 3 main product categories - Beauty, Wellness & Warming (including plush). Day-to-day duties will include art working, creating product & packaging concepts, general design admin, working closely with our product developers and product & trend research. The main focus of this role will be art working and working to tight deadlines in a fast paced business.

Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge of print-based working
• Creating die cuts, art working packaging which may vary from boxes, labels, gift sets and displays
• Generating new and original designs based on briefs and emerging trends.
• Ensuring product design fits the brand strategy to deliver profitable brand growth.
• Working in-conjunction with the team of product developers to deliver trend led, inspirational product on time and in full to our customers.
• Working closely with the team to plan, design product and packaging, brief samples and artwork packaging and any supporting materials.
• Reviewing the market to ensure product and packaging are in line with both the brand proposition and the target retailer.
• Delivering a variety of disciplines – product design and visualisation, illustrative, typographic, and photographic art direction.
• Preparing presentations for the sales team
• Produce marketing materials including Brochures, Trade Show Graphics, Social Media Posts and Web banners.
• Following and being able to work to existing brand guidelines

Requirements:

• 3 – 5 Years experience within the gift sector or beauty sector, working on both product and packaging is very desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Primarily Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Powerpoint) and a good level within excel spreadsheets for tracking projects.
• Must be able to show a broad portfolio of work including product and packaging examples.
• Must have strong art working experience creating and preparing files for print (experience of working with cutter guides, heavy text packaging)
• Experience in working with and briefing Far East factories would be preferable.
• Must be able to demonstrate a full understanding of print process, understanding fabric lines.
• Must have some experience in designing marketing materials for print & digital.
• Be able to work within a fast paced business
• Be able to liaise with colleagues at all levels across the business.

Note: This is a present position.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
