Have you recently graduated, or are you about to graduate in summer 2023?
The Council’s Housing and Green Economy Service is looking to recruit three dynamic and forward-thinking graduate trainees in three of its teams.
Delivering various workstreams and programmes to improve affordable warmth, reduce carbon emissions and provide everyone with access to safe and warm homes, the Housing and Green Economy Service makes a substantial contribution towards the Council’s main corporate objectives.
As well as receiving a combination of ‘on the job’ and professional training, you will be responsible for project development and delivery, assessing and reviewing project risks, data collection, monitoring and reporting, producing briefing notes and project board papers, managing a customer caseload, developing business cases and funding applications, and ensuring that our projects are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
You will be degree (or level 6 equivalent) qualified (or due to graduate by summer 2023) and already have excellent interpersonal skills developed through your education, employment and or your hobbies or interests.
Your application will demonstrate your understanding of the Council’s key objectives and how your experience will support delivery of them through this role. You will have strong organisational and communication skills and be aware of the challenges and issues that are affecting lower income households through the cost-of-living crisis, new housing development and access to housing for vulnerable housing, depending on the role you wish to apply for.
Please see the attached role profiles for details of each post.
When you apply, please clearly state the role(s) you wish to apply for at the start of your personal statement.
For an informal discussion about the three different graduate roles and their respective teams, please contact one of the following team managers for further details:
