The Senior Visual Communication Designer is a part of the Marketing and Brand (M&B) portfolio within SFU's institutional Marketing and Communications team. The M&B portfolio is responsible for defining and upholding SFU's external facing brand strategy in alignment with key university priorities - this includes leading brand expression, campaign development and website management.

About the Role

The Senior Visual Communication Designer will provide strategic support for on-going visual enhancements to the University's website templates. This person is responsible for defining how SFU's brand elements are translated into a website environment. They need to investigate, design and define visual elements in a manner that is suitable for engaging a front-end developer to bring these ideas to life. The ability to create detailed documentation is essential for ensuring designs are interpreted correctly for development. Skills in user interface design and documentation are highly valued. This position will also play a key role in the design process for digital advertising. Familiarity with modern digital ads design trends and an aptitude for leading the creative process for the digital implementation of campaigns is valued.
