Due to an increase in production and products for the Automotive industry, this company is seeking a Graduate Engineer to help lead the development of new products and become an integral part of the manufacturing process, from production of part routings and BOM’s, material selection and sourcing, through to planning manufacture in the most effective and efficient way. Some production planning and manufacturing problem solving experience would be ideal, but full training will be provided for the right candidate and more important will be your desire to progress and a thirst for knowledge. Key Responsibilities and Tasks * MRP system administration, to include but not limited to, creating new part set up, routings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), purchase orders, updates, Works Orders, kit issue and book into stock. * Job costings analysis to assist sales. * Complete production paperwork (Works orders/Work Instructions). * Proactive approach to prevent the occurrence of non-conformances. * Check drawings to establish ‘design for manufacture’ and feed back to the design team. * Reviewing of MRP demand needs using MRP suggestion desk, and or email correspondence to raise WO. * Review of production out, due date understanding and updating within MRP. * Attendance of production and sales related meetings, including but not limited to MPS, NPI, aPLI etc. * Become familiar with products and manufacturing processes. * Involved with New Product Introduction (NPI) of designs from the engineering group, sourcing materials, completing routings and BOM’s and raising works orders through the correct systems. * Help to ensure and maintain a 5S environment within the department. A good Degree in a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering subject is required. Any interest in Materials and Manufacturing processes, MRP, Forecasting, Planning and Inventory Management , Supply Chain and the Automotive industry would aid your application.
