CMR UK Ltd is the North-Tyneside-based manufacturer of industrial engine controls and instrumentation, wiring systems, harnesses and sensors. As part of the Amphenol group we have access to global markets and can offer significant international career opportunities for talented professionals.
A great opportunity has arisen for an IT graduate to join the UK business and wider CMR international IT team.
Based at our site in North Tyneside, the aim of the role is to provide local support to users in the UK to support applications such as AX and Power BI and to support UK and Group IT projects.
The key job responsibilities will include:
- Understand the challenges of the organization’s IT systems and analyse/propose new software solutions to support improvement
- Support the on-going maintenance and improvement of Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Work with project teams and BI Engineers to ensure data is captured within the system and accessible through the data warehouse to meet reporting requirements
- Act as site IT representative within the wider CMR Group IT organisation to support UK requirements
- Monitoring of computer systems
- Training & coaching UK users on new and existing hardware and software systems
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Meeting the demands of the group IT team, supporting projects as required
Knowledge, skills and other attributes required:
· A degree in a computing/IT related discipline
· A strong motivation to pursue a career in IT within a business environment
· Aptitude for data analysis
· Working knowledge of Advanced Excel and ERP in enterprise (such as Dynamics AX)
· Practical experience of Power BI development
· SQL skills
· Effectively communicate with a wide range and level of stakeholders, as is the ability to advise, train and support users and integrate within the global IT team
· Experience with Power Query
· Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across a number of business disciplines
· A willingness to undertake international business travel is also required
