Hypebeast is looking for a strategically-minded and culturally-connected Global Senior Social Media Manager to join our team based in London, UK.

This person will oversee both our global and local content and channel strategies to ensure the Hypebeast brand is represented consistently across all platforms and regions.

This person is an experienced team leader who can inspire, empower and motivate their team. They are creative, innovative and highly-collaborative, effective across multiple workstreams, able to manage up and down, and can ensure KPIs, objectives and deadlines are met.

This person has an exceptional eye for engaging imagery, video and copy. They are an expert at knowing what it takes to create best in class ‘social first’ content and storytelling.

This person is completely in tune to industry developments and ensures social media updates and innovations are actioned early — as well as communicated internally to other stakeholders — to help keep us current and one step ahead of our competitors.

This person is always thinking about the bigger picture, while having a finger on the pulse of the day-to-day.

This person is familiar with analytic tools, and understands both the power of data and how to effectively use it to inform both strategy and creative.

They are a strong and clear communicator and will work closely with the Head of Social Media.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead the creation and development the global social media strategy across all platforms.
    • Remotely manage a team of regional social media managers
    • Be the key point of contact between departments to ensure a fluid way of working for all.
    • Analyze data and deliver regular performance reports with suggested actions and next steps.
    • Work closely with regional leads to ensure brand consistency across regions.
    • Monitor industry trends and stay on top of the latest social media technical innovations.
    • Work closely with Brand Parnterhips to ensure branded content is aligned to global brand POV
    • Be an advocate for best practice at all times.

Requirements:

    • 6+ years in a social media strategy role with a proven track record and demonstrable work portfolio.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of key social networks, nuances and algorithms.
    • Experience with social publishing and analytics tools (e.g. Later and Google Analytics).
    • Experience with paid/dark social ad campaigns is a big bonus.
    • Able to build strong working relationships across teams and business units.
    • Strong sense of initiative, a collaborative spirit and an ability to work independently.
    • Knowledge of the kind of content Hypebeast publishes at a local and international level.
    • Must be based in London and able to work 2-3 days per week from the office.
