Job description
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Video Archivist to join our busy Content and Publishing Team. The role will be varied and inspiring, working with colleagues across the organisation. Working on video content, cataloguing existing footage and source video material from our archives.

You’ll be working within a vibrant team, working closely with Internal and External Communications, regional team and the wider Communications and Marketing.
You’ll also work closely with the National Trust Images team.
Your contractual location will be at our Head Office in Swindon however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree a hybrid working arrangement which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.
What you'll be doing:You’ll be uploading video to our online archive and cataloguing that content to ensure it is discoverable to internal and external audiences. You’ll also be managing the back-catalogue of content to ensure it remains fit for purpose.
You’ll be dealing with research requests from customers both within and outside of the Trust.
You’ll also play a key role in the launch of our new Digital Asset Management system for audio, video and still images.

- Experience in video archiving
- Editorial skills with experience in selecting the best content
- Knowledge of copyright rules
- Experience in using multimedia to communicate messages
- Knowledge of Data Protection Legislation
