Women’s Best was founded in 2015, and has grown to be loved by 4m+ female fans and customers across 150 countries, who use their high quality sports nutrition and apparel.

Women's Best sell across a number of sales channels, both 1st and 3rd party eCommerce, retail, wholesale and marketplaces globally, with the UK, USA & EU being key markets for them to grow awareness and market share.

Today, the business is run exclusively from Innsbruck, Austria where the co-founders, David, Lukas & Thomas lead a team of 100+ people. Finding the volume of experienced talent they need to continue their growth has been really difficult therefore they recently opened a London HQ which will house the majority of the commercial and demand creation functions going forwards, leaving the Innsbruck HQ to manage the majority of the back office administration.


About the role

Reporting into the Head of Product, you will think both creatively and logically and be able to process information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail from a range of sources. The product team are responsible for the fit and quality of all Women's Best products and it is key to work closely with design to execute their creative vision, whilst maintaining the quality and consistency of the product, ensuring the designs remain true to the brand. You will be responsible for ensuring the product produced is fit for purpose in all aspects.

This is a highly collaborative role, where you’ll work closely with the wider team and will have the opportunity to get involved in a number of cross-departmental projects.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Helping to develop and maintain core block libraries across fabrics and shapes and providing useful specs to design teams for their tech packs.
  • Ensuring measurements systems and grading rules are kept consistent and reflective of our core customer.
  • Conducting fitting sessions for new products in development on a 2-3 time per week basis.
  • Providing post fit technical notes to our factories and the wider product team.
  • Supporting the factories & buying team on any technical construction queries, including problem-solving mass production issues.
  • Assisting the product team in elevating the fit and finish of our companies garments.
  • Conducting returns analysis fit sessions with supporting commentary to factories, marketing and warehouse teams to help drive down returns.

About You:

As a Garment Technologist with Women’s Best it is essential that you have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a product development team within sportswear fashion.

Experience and skills needed...


  • A technically-oriented qualification, preferably at degree level.
  • Ideally 3-5 years experience within ladies gym wear/active wear, including seamless garments and shape wear
  • The ability to manage technical specifications and blocks for seamless gym wear is a necessity to qualify for an Interview.
  • Multi-product experience; able to move between product areas with assurance.
  • Experience of working directly with factories, and thorough understanding of factory production, including workflow, production control, machinery, and equipment.
  • Pattern-cutting knowledge and practice are very desirable, knowledge of grading and grade rules. Thorough understanding of garment construction, fabric technology & testing.
  • Proactive and committed to meeting new challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Strong time-management skills; able to prioritise tasks & change direction with agility.
  • First-class communication skills: experience of working with different cultures and the challenges this can bring.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team, as the role requires.
  • Confident using Outlook, Excel & Word; keen to expand skill-set as the role demands.
