Acamar Films is looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join their growing team. Reporting into the Director of Marketing, the role sits at the heart of the company to support the development and growth of the Emmy Award-winning and BAFTA-nominated pre-school property, Bing.
The Senior Marketing Manager will act as a guardian for the Bing IP and will lead both consumer and trade marketing and communications in the UK and the Nordics. The role works closely with internal teams including licensing, content distribution, digital, social, product development, partnership and experiential, production and design, as well as licensees, retailers and external agencies to drive audience awareness and engagement, and increase revenues.
You will be a commercially-minded strategic thinker with executional expertise. You will be passionate about bringing children and family brands to consumers across multiple touchpoints.

What You’ll Do
Trade Marketing
- Identify and execute marketing opportunities to reach key trade stakeholders such as retailers, licence, and distribution partners including trade PR, events, presence at key trade shows, advertising, awards, sponsorship and newsletters
- Lead retail marketing programmes in the UK and the Nordics collaborating closely with retailers, the UK Licensing team and licensing agents, toy and publishing partners
- Collaborate with the Licensing team and local licensing agents to develop compelling sales material including presentations, pitches, sizzles as well as other required materials
- Instigate and execute cross promotional opportunities between partners to maximise sell-through, gain listings and expand visibility
- Support Licensing team at key events such as Brand Licensing Europe as well as partner days and other key meetings
Consumer Marketing
- Responsible for planning, delivering and executing annual consumer marketing and communications plans to increase awareness and affinity amongst consumers and create appetite for Bing products and experiences. Liaison with social, digital and content teams to align on strategy tactics, ensuring message consistency and amplification
- Collaborate with the content distribution, digital, social media and licensing teams to align on strategy and tactics, ensuring message consistency and amplification
- Work closely with distribution partners (BBC, Prime Video…) to create promotional opportunities for Bing
- Manage existing marketing partnerships (The NSPCC) while also identifying new opportunities for partnerships. Plan and execute these partnerships campaigns as needed
- Identify, appoint and manage marketing and PR agencies as required
IP Management
- Drive UK and Nordics IP planning process, leading cross-team strategic discussions to develop comprehensive and holistic plan that covers key brand themes and time of activation
- Recommend strategies to position the brand for growth
- Creation and supervision of content such as press releases (trade and consumer), marketing materials, advertising etc.
- Closely monitor health metrics in key markets, competitive landscape, trends and market information and report findings to wider business. Analyse brand tracker and present findings to internal teams. Share strategic information to all relevant external and internal stakeholders
- Budget planning and tracking, reporting updates to the Director.
- Promote marketing best practices across international territories both internally and externally
- Manage Marketing Executives working for the brand to ensure that they operate within brand guidelines and Acamar ways of working
Essential Skills and Experience
- CIM Qualification or equivalent marketing degree or commensurate experience
- Solid experience in the entertainment industry across content and licensing
- Demonstrable experience of working within a business targeting children and families
- Knowledge and experience of working with retail – traditional and ecommerce, including scoping and creating promotional overlays and in-store activity
- Demonstrable understanding of the issues relating to the buying and selling of entertainment intellectual property rights
- Commercial awareness
- Solid experience in both Trade and Consumer marketing and communications
- Hands-on experience of writing selling and marketing copy
- Proven experience of agency management skills and creative accountability
- Excellent communicator, negotiator and relationship builder, natural diplomat
- Ability to gain and interpret feedback from the sales team and develop and share commercial insights in order to create marketing and communications activity
- Proven ability to organise and manage a heavy workload and juggle priorities effectively
- Intellectual rigour and creative flair with the enthusiasm and drive to push forward ideas and champion Acamar Films and Bing
- Ability to be flexible in creative approach when role requires and to use own initiative
- A proven awareness of cultural sensitivities
- Experience of budget planning and tracking costs effectively
- Excellent Powerpoint or Keynote skills
