An award-winning Managed Service Provider (MSP) is seeking an Infrastructure Consultant to work out of their easily accessible office in London. The business offers flexible and hybrid working, although this role will require occasional travel to client site.

The business works predominantly with SME clients for project delivery, primarily working with multiple vendors, including Cisco, VMWare, and Microsoft. Infrastructure Consultant Role and Responsibilities

As Infrastructure Consultant, you will be a key part of the team, focussing directly on D&I of Infrastructure Technologies. You will deliver the Design and Deployment of Windows Servers, virtualisation tool, and storage, working with multiple key vendors. This will be delivered across SME and large enterprise sites.

Additionally, your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and implement Infrastructure solutions directly and alongside Senior Architects and Pre-Sales teams across Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, and NetApp.
  • A generalist attitude, with a specialism in one of the above.
  • Deal directly with clients, specifying their needs and providing solutions.
  • Design and delivery of core and distribution equipment in multi-site locations across London and the South-East.
  • Work alongside sales teams and Senior Architects to deliver the best solutions possible.

Skills and Experience Required for the Infrastructure Consultant

The business is committed to your professional development, and offers support for earning additional certifications and with training. The business does ask that you have:

  • 5 years’ experience working in a customer facing design and implementation role.
  • CCNA, VCP, CCNP, MCSE or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Windows Server, Networking, VMWare, and storage.
  • Knowledge of 2 or more industry leading vendors.
  • Ideally have Managed Service experience.
  • Strong storage experience or understanding.
  • Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers.

If you are an Infrastructure Consultant, or an Infrastructure Engineer looking to move in to a Senior role with experience in an MSP environment, please get in touch. Or if you are an established Server or Storage Engineer who wants a path towards Solutions Consulting and Pre-Sales, we would also love to hear from you.
