Location: Grounds Maintenance, Streetpride, Stores Road, Derby
Derby City Council Grounds Maintenance Service have vacancies for Full Time Gardeners to carry out gardening and general grounds maintenance duties.
The role provides a grounds maintenance service on all Derby City Council land, properties and contracts as determined by the service.
As a minimum, applicants must;
- possess a full manual driving licence
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent horticultural qualifications.
- Basic occupational experience of grounds maintenance works including the use of professional equipment such as hedge cutters, mowers, strimmers etc.
- Experience of using advanced grounds maintenance equipment e.g. ride on mower
We require our Gardeners to be reliable, have pride in what they do and be committed to working with colleagues to produce a good standard of work. They must understand the need for exceptional customer satisfaction. Be prepared to undertake any training required and work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations. You may be expected to work seasonal hours throughout the year.
The work may involve early morning starts at locations throughout the City of Derby.
