Position Summary
ICG’s Marketing team has responsibility for raising ICG’s illiquid closed-ended funds, liquid open-ended funds, and separately managed accounts. The team is also responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients, which stands at over 600 as of December 31, 2022.
ICG seeks a junior sales professional to support ICG’s UK and EMEA fundraising in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality relationship support to the UK accounts and Sales Managers, acting as an interface with all areas of the business including Client Relations, Fund Finance, and Fund Management teams. There will be adhoc support required for the broader EMEA team.
The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, be highly motivated, and be keen to work alongside like-minded individuals as part of a committed team. This role will enable the candidate to build skills across alternative asset classes and bring the individual into regular contact with stakeholders across the ICG’s platform and clients.
Primary Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
  • Act as a key team member for the UK Marketing team, building an understanding of our clients and contributing to sales activity by co-ordinating or attending meetings, emails, and client follow-up.
  • Record client interactions within CRM system, maintain sales pipeline, and ensure consistency and quality of information across the team
  • Support ongoing projects to processes on the team, including but not limited to automation and data quality improvement.
  • Over time, increase direct interactions with clients and act as a point of contact for prospective and existing investors in the UK, contributing to deepening these existing relationships answering their queries in a timely manner.
  • Act as a sales support resource on an adhoc basis for the Head of EMEA and the broader EMEA marketing team.
  • Produce key performance indicator presentations to senior management and provide support for strategic initiatives.
  • Work with the Corporate Communications and Client Relations team to prepare, organize, and deliver client events.
  • Ensure that marketing materials sent meet compliance requirements.
Key Requirements/ Qualifications
You will have demonstrable experience of:
  • Experienced with a strong academic background
  • A sound understanding of the private markets, ideally with prior exposure to either Real Estate, Private Debt or Private Equity
  • Commercially and financially literate, demonstrating strong numerical and oral communication skills; excellent written and presentation skills
  • Demonstration of an exceptional level of attention to detail
  • A team player with an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Pro-active, confident and self-motivated; ability to problem solve
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
