Job description
Wernick Refurbished Buildings are one of the largest independent suppliers of pre-owned modular buildings in the UK. At WRB, we modernise, tailor or totally re-new old modular stock to provide a good-as-new building at a competitive price. Due to company growth and demand, we are looking for semi and multi skilled operatives to join our friendly team.
The Semi/multi-skilled operatives will be responsible for processing instructions received from the Production Manager as requested, ensuring quality, safety, security, and minimising wastage.
To be successful in this role you will need to be Semi or multi skilled and have some experience in joinery, plumbing, plastering and/or electrical work. You will have excellent time management skills, with the ability to juggle a busy workload and remain calm under pressure. Being an enthusiastic team player with a commitment to offering first class customer service is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Working as part of a team of operatives, you will be helping to fully refurbish cabins and modular buildings to a bespoke specification and bring to a brand new status
- You will ensure that production targets are met in line with financial goals set for the company
- Site visits to carry out repairs as required
- Ensure all furniture is checked on return to the yard, removed from cabins and put back into storage
- Keep the forklift truck in good and serviceable condition
- Minimise material wastage
- Assist in the safe loading and unloading of cabins / buildings and materials
- Maintain good housekeeping in the yard and workshop at all times
- Adhere to current health and safety legislation
Skills and Experience
- We are looking for someone who has a good level of general DIY skills who is happy to turn their hand to any job that is required
- Able to multi task and prioritise busy workload
