About the role
St David’s House is a specialist residential centre (rated “Outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission in 2020) that is home to up to 20 young adults aged 21 to 35. We are looking for dedicated and caring support workers to join our friendly team. We provide “exceptionally safe care” (CQC 2020) whilst challenging our young people to follow their dreams, pursue their interests and develop skills. All our residents have a degree of visual impairment and other complex needs, but our staff focus on supporting and empowering them to maintain as much independence as possible.
As a Support Worker here you’ll be joining a passionate and caring team who will support you throughout your time here. At St David’s House we find that the rigid daily structures and strict routine of other care homes don’t really work here, so our staff get to spend quality time with the young people they support.
The successful candidate will have a passion for their own learning and the teaching of high-quality training to support staff to ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred health care.
How we say thank you:
- 6 weeks holiday plus 8 bank holidays
- occupational sick scheme from day 1
- comprehensive training and development
- onsite café
- free parking
- Free Flu vaccinations
- cycle to work scheme
- employee assistance programme
- “death in service” life assurance and group accident cover
- contributory pension scheme
