About the Trust –Livewell Southwest Rated ‘Good’ in their most recent CQC report, Livewell Southwest CIC is a recognised provider of integrated health and social care services operating across South Hams, West Devon, Plymouth, and Cornwall. Whilst not a formal part of the NHS, Livewell Southwest CIC is a not-for-profit organisation which works alongside colleagues from local NHS hospitals and services to deliver expert care. Award-winning services are diverse and include: community nursing, services for people with learning disabilities, physiotherapy, community mental health services, social work, wellbeing and health improvement services, services for children and young people and community pharmacies
What you’ll be responsible for
- Building relationships with patients to encourage trust, while listening to their needs and concerns
- Ensuring that the patient is the prime focus when making decisions about their care and wellbeing
- Assisting in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse
- Assisting patients with compassion when undertaking normal activities of daily living whilst ensuring that privacy, dignity, and human rights are respected
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.
You’ll have the following qualification/experience:
- A minimum of 3 months experience as a Healthcare Assistant (Acute) or studying as a Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks’ clinical placements, studying towards a relevant Nursing degree
- Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients
- Assist in the delivery of patient care as directed by the nurse in charge of the unit/ward, undertaking duties and activities, with limited or indirect supervision
- Carry out procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards
- Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with Trust guidelines
- Undertake regular mandatory training*
