Job introduction
A new opportunity has arisen within the Front of House team. We are looking for a new team member to join our highly dedicated team, delivering outstanding customer service to members of the public and to support council services.
About the role
If successful, you will join a well-established team that provide cover for
- Council switchboard, the council switchboards cover the entire city and deals with a diverse range of enquires and requests.
- Customer Service Centre, be responsible for welcoming and assisting customers visiting the council’s Customer Service Centre in Hove as well as supporting customer with the enquires and online applications.
You must have excellent communication and people skills, be IT literate and have the ability to keep calm under pressure.
You will also be enthusiastic and confident in providing online support for those customers that are digitally excluded. To achieve this, you’ll have a excellent understanding of digital skills,
Based: Hove Town Hall or Bartholomew Square, Brighton
Hours: 08:30 -17:00 Monday to Friday

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.
