Located in Doncaster, Rudie's Kitchen is where our Butternut meals (we currently have 8 recipes) will be gently cooked, using human-quality ingredients. Rudie's is also where we will be packaging our meals and boxing them for our customers all over the UK. We are a close nit team, with a family feel, looking to welcome more like minded people to our lovely team and keep work life fun and enjoyable.
A bit about the role
As a FLT Operator and Instructor you will work primarily in our warehouse, also offering training and support to our fulfilment and production teams, In this roles you can expect to:
- Oversee all FLT training on site, ensuring accurate records and reports are kept up to date.
- Be an operating member of the warehouse team and you will be required to be hands-on as and when required to support business needs.
- Ensure that all employees are comprehensively trained and qualified on all site work equipment.
- To observe and promote safe working practices, coach students and colleagues on safe behaviours and best practice whilst operating MHE or performing processes.
- Identify and assess training and development requirements, with the aim to develop personal performance
- Support the learning and development dept by conducting observations and maintaining training material.
- Provide ongoing training, support and personal development to members of the team
- Learn to motivate staff and maintain a positive and professional atmosphere
- Promote a good work ethic and be a positive mentor and role model
- Working closely with the Team Managers in supporting the shift and ensuring correct training is booked and given to relevant staff.
- You will be paid an hourly rate working a rolling average of 41 hours per week. We recognise that you will be working a rotating roster covering both days, with a degree of flexibility needed for night, although unlikely there may be a business need to flex to nights occasionally
- This role attracts the equivalent to a lead op rate due to the instructor element of the role, with a 10% shift allowance, this is a days based Panama role which includes some weekend working
A bit about you
- Hard-working & diligent with a hunger to learn
- At least 2 years, Counterbalance PPT and reach truck experience is essential
- Experience of training is highly desirable
- Passionate about developing colleagues
- A keen eye for Health and safety and protecting you colleagues
- Natural at continuous professional development
- Flexible, pragmatic, resilient & humble
- Good level of communication
- A good level computer literacy, including at least intermediate excel / Google Sheets skills
- Comfortable with managing upwards and stakeholder management
- SAP or other warehouse management software is desirable
- Loves dogs (naturally)
A bit about what we offer
- A salary of £12.30 + 10% shift allowance giving you a total hourly salary of £13.53 per hour (Annual salary £26,309 +10% = £28,939)

- This role is 100% based in our kitchen in Blyth, Doncaster
