This role is offered to you on a 4 on 4 off days shift pattern working 18:00pm until 06:00am - The role is offered as a temporary position however could lead to permanent
What does this corker of a job entail?
- Operation of a forklift truck to handle the company's products as required and directed by Warehouse / Stores management or supervision.
- Pick and orders in any given location in line with picking lists as issued, consolidating by works order number in accordance with company requirements. Report any stock discrepancies to stores supervision to enable full investigations to be carried out.
- Marshall completed picked orders in the designated areas along with products picked from other warehouses.
- To provide the line with sufficient materials to maintain its efficiency, to ensure that machines are working at their optimum output.
- Return unused materials to the stores, ensuring the relevant materials movement sheets are completed.
- Maintain safe and effective stowage of company products within the warehouses, carrying out remedial action for any unsafe stowage. Treat any damages or breakers in line with company procedures.
- To minimise waste.
- To ensure that production meet the required quality standards.
- Ensure full check of FLT at the beginning of each shift, completing the daily check form as required. Reporting any defects found during this check and any other time to production supervision.
- Maintain clean and tidy areas of work, ensuring all refuge is placed in designated waste areas.
- Carry out any other duties, which may be required in relation to the above position. Also demonstrating a flexible approach to other departmental working when required to do so.
Key Ingredients
- Experience of working in manufacturing environment with counterbalance licences
- Pivot / Bendi (desirable)
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Ability to work accurately and methodically
- Good numeracy and IT skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to plan and organise work
- An understanding of health and safety requirements
- Flexible approach to duties and tasks
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
- SAP & Hand Held Device knowledge desirable
