Founded in May 2014, The Hive is a fast-growing education company focused on Outdoor Learning. We currently focus on three distinct areas: Outdoor Holiday Camps for children, term-time school workshops and Forest School training for adults. The Hive is unique in the UK, bringing together outdoor learning, narrative and technology in a Forest School setting.

We are currently seeking facilitators to lead and support our Bushcraft missions at one of our outdoor holiday camps, where we deliver a week of dynamic and enjoyable outdoor sessions to children and young people aged 5 – 13 years, in a safe and positive environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading Bushcraft or Forest School sessions for children, including firelighting, shelter building, whittling, outdoor cooking, etc.

  • You will have experience delivering or supporting Forest School, Bushcraft or DofE sessions with children and young people in a school or an informal learning setting.
  • You will have a passion for working outdoors in all weathers.
  • An energetic and playful approach with an instinctive understanding of what motivates children.
  • A DBS certificate issued within the past 2 years or registered on the DBS Update Service – this will be required prior to a job offer.

Dates: We're specifically looking for people available for our Easter and Summer season, for at least one of the following weeks:

  • Monday 3rd - Thursday 6th April 2023
  • Tuesday 11th - Friday 14th April 2023
  • Monday 10th - Friday 14th July 2023
  • Monday 17th - Friday 21st July 2023
  • Monday 24th - Friday 28th July 2023
  • Monday 31st July - Friday 4th August 2023
  • Monday 7th - Friday 11th August 2023
  • Monday 14th - Friday 18th August 2023

Locations: Northwood, Blackheath, Sevenoaks, Dulwich and Weybridge roles available.

Fee: £575.00 - £700.00 per week, dependant on role.

  • Our camps are running between Monday 3rd - Friday 14th April and Monday 10th July - Friday 18th August 2023. Please confirm that you are available for at least one full week during this period (Monday - Friday):
