We are looking for someone to join our team to carry out the evening Housekeeping service for our wards at Kingsway Hospital and the Radbourne Unit. The required working hours are 15 hours per week, either 16.30-19.30 or 17.00-20.00. Housekeepers provide a high class cleaning service to all buildings within the Trust, creating a clean environment for all patients, visitors, and staff. Duties include: Damp mopping and buffing of all floor surfaces, including using machinery. Periodic maintenance as included in the cleaning schedules. Vacuum cleaning of all carpet areas, including use of machinery. Damp dusting all radiators, pipes and ledges. Cleaning of all furniture and fittings by the appropriate method. High dusting. Cleaning of partition glass and inside of windows where necessary. Cleaning of all sanitary fitments. Cleaning wall tiles. Replenishing disposable items, e.g. paper towels, soap, rubbish sacks, etc. Emptying of refuse bins and removing to place of disposal. Cleaning of all refuse holders. Cleaning of lockers, beds and mattress when vacated by the patient Housekeeping Duties – Duties will vary to suit area Prepare the dining room ready for meals. Under the supervision of nursing staff ensure all meals are served and presented in an appetising manner Ensure all meal and break pots are washed with the aid of the dishwasher and that the kitchen is left clean and tidy Report defaults, breakages, pests, etc, to relevant person. To work as a member of the ‘house’ team including attending team meetings as appropriate.
