We are seeking a Project Management level 4 Apprentice with a positive and proactive attitude to join our Programmes team based in Hemel Hempstead. It’s an excellent opportunity for a bright and driven individual to carve a career in Project Management within a Global organisation.
Over the course of the Level 4 apprenticeship you will undertake various placements; starting with short rotations through various departments to gain a thorough understanding of the business followed by longer term placements of six to nine months covering projects in both technology and commercial markets.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
Assisting with the initiating, planning, monitoring & controlling, communicating and close-out phases of projects and contributing to the completion of Product Lifecycle Process Gates where applicable. You will coordinate specific activities of integrated project and/or cross-functional teams to contribute to the successful completion of milestones. Supporting with the maintenance of project records and assisting with the establishment and maintenance of cost and schedule baselines.
The apprenticeship programme will include:
- Level 4 Project Management
- An opportunity to progress onto Level 6 Project Management (Degree apprenticeship)
- The apprenticeship is an 24 months programme
About You:
Minimum Entry Requirements
- 5 GCSE or equivalent at grade 4-9
- Level 2 in Maths and English
Personal qualities:
- You must be 18 years old before July 2023. The position is subject to satisfactory background checks and/or National Security Vetting
- A passion for technology with an interest in project management
- Energetic and determined
- Developing knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, PRINCE2, Agile etc) is desirable.
- Developing verbal and written communication and people management skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- A natural passion to deliver against commitments.
- Ability to communicate with peers.
- Good attention to detail, highly organised.
- Ability to work with general instructions on routine work and with detailed guidance on new assignments.
- Fluent in written communications and able to articulate complex issues
- Willingness to learn new skills
