Painter Foreman – Lowestoft
Salary: 35,000 - 45,000
Hours: 40 hours, Mon – Fri, 7:00 - 16:00
Job Type: Full Time Permanent
Our client a very successful design and manufacturer company near Lowestoft looking for an experienced Marine Painter Foreman. As a business our client supports the welding, fabrication and pipework requirements of their core customer base across marine and boatbuilding.

Key Duties of a Painter Foreman:
- Understanding of ship repair/marine practice
- Supervise chargehands & employees, ensuring the required quality and safety standards are met.
- Experience carrying out pressure washing, coating preparation of steel and application of coatings
- Experience in confined spaces cleaning & painting internal tanks
- Previous experience cleaning & setting up equipment whilst maintaining spray painting / blasting equipment
- Supervise painting duties, laboring duties, support docking and undocking of vessels
Key Skills of a Painter Foreman:
- 3-5 years minimum trade experience in the marine industry to senior level
- NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship with HNC/NC Painter Qualification
- Great Communication skills
- Strong safety awareness
- Good Ability to work at heights
