Job Description


We are looking for a pro-active and ambitious Sports Trading Analyst to support our growth. The successful applicant will possess the motivation to quickly learn and constantly look to improve processes in order to deliver the ultimate goals within the Sports Trading Team. The successful candidate will contribute to a team that is focused on driving the future of sports betting industry. Developing ones own skills whilst driving forward collectively.

The role will require supporting the operational requirements of the Sports Trading Team and encourages the successful applicant to suggest and develop new ideas around methodologies. Will be working in an innovative environment on an industry leading product that is always evolving and growing

The hours will generally mirror the sporting calendar and as you would expect, include both evenings and weekends.

The successful candidate will be working on pricing and managing markets across sporting events from start to finish. Building out market offering to one of most comprehensive in the industry as well as being given the tools to generate prices on all these events. Learning new skills along the way as well as cross departmental work to further aid development in process.

Role Responsibilities

  • Quickly learn and understand the fundamentals of sports betting and trading
  • Develop tools and processes to improve the efficiencies within the sports trading operation
  • Real time risk management
  • Monitor betting markets for trends
  • Compilation of analysis/reports on sports and their performance
  • Contribute to competitor/industry analysis (including social media monitoring)
  • Carry out customer service responsibilities
  • Reporting/analysis

Qualifications


Primary Requisites

  • Organised and analytical personality
  • Precise attention to detail
  • Passion for Sports
  • Knowledge/interest in the betting industry
  • Undergraduate degree in mathematical/statistics field preferred but not a requirement
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions confidently
  • Desire to develop both individually and as a team

A passion for sports and statistics that surrounds it are required. Knowledge on US sports would be favourable for this role.

Data science, modeling and analytics are all part of the day-to-day mechanics of the Sports Trading Team; the applicant will possess an understanding and appreciation of all these areas.
