On behalf of Rolls Royce, AMS are looking for over 80 Fitter positions to cover initial a 12-month contract based at their Derby site. The Fitter will be working on a 3-shift pattern Monday to Friday of morning, afternoons and nights.
As a Fitter you will be responsible for:
- Fitting, instrumentation and/or modules using the direction of engineering drawings and technical specifications
- The Fitter will raise non-conformance issues
- Working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments
- Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications
- Ensuring Health & safety is kept to a high standard, at all times
- Participating in continual review and improvement processes for the business to identify best practice
What we require from the candidate:
- It is essential that candidates possess a recognised time-served apprenticeship within an engineering discipline AND either a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in using a variety of engineering equipment and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality
- Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate relevant fitting experience of engine components
- Knowledge of lean principles and process basics
