Job description

SALARY: £32,906 to £38,705 per annum
HOURS: 36 hours per week
CONTRACT TYPE: Secondment/Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2023

We’re looking for an exceptional Fire Safety Remedial Project Officer – Fire Risk Assessments to support the FRA/FRAA Operations Manager by providing contract management support and co-ordination across a wide range of ongoing projects.

We’ll look to you to ensure that conflicting demands on time and resource between projects are addressed, projects are not delayed and that all project requirements are met. We’ll look to you to help mobilise new programmes and contracts by sorting out data issues, commercial support and co-ordinating and recording strategic meetings.
You’ll need to develop excellent working relationships with colleagues in operational teams as well as strong stakeholder management skills.

You’ll need a strong understanding of data and the importance of data accuracy when managing a fire safety remedial programme, and you’ll need to ensure that all procurement projects are planned sufficiently far in advance to ensure that effective services are procured and that value for money can be demonstrated.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Co-ordinating resident and MP enquiries, formal complaints and service enquiries
  • Developing and supporting workshops, training and other similar events, and ensure that all outcomes are captured, recorded and circulated as needed
  • Facilitating contract reviews to ensure documents are updated and circulated as needed, maintaining a central document repository for operational teams to access

You’ll already have experience at a senior administrative or project management and be educated to at least A level or similar. You’ll need experience with working with large volumes of data, particularly in Excel and demonstrable experience of working with a building safety environment.

We’re seeking applicants with excellent organisational skills with experience of prioritising their own workload. If you have a strong understanding of the social housing environment, including regulation and emerging government policy, we look forward to hearing from you.
