Financial Assistant – Landfern Group

Landfern Group is an exciting group of businesses comprising property interests with hospitality businesses, based in Glasgow city Centre. Due to continuing development of the group and changes in the finance team an opportunity to appoint a Financial Assistant reporting to the Financial Accountant has arisen.

We are looking for someone with 1-2 years’ experience in an Accounts Assistant role and are happy to consider applications from candidates that would like to progress their career and experienced accounts assistants who wish to remain in this type of role.

This role is likely to be part time initially with the potential to develop further into a full-time role in due course depending on the successful candidate’s desire moving forward.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying invoices received across the Group of companies and agreeing these to purchase orders / delivery notes where appropriate.
  • Bookkeeping / financial accounting for different companies in the group and coding the invoices etc. into the accounting system.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Reconciliations and specifications of other balance sheet items.
  • VAT handling.
  • Payments and remittance.
  • Invoicing and collections.
  • Supporting the finance team in any ad hoc projects undertaken in the business.

  • Salary – depending on experience – expected to be in the range of £22k-£25k on a pro rata basis.
  • Pension contribution.
  • 28 days/5.6 weeks holiday including bank holidays, which will be pro-rated based on hours of work.
  • Study support is available if the individual wishes to undertake relevant qualifications.

This is a part time position based at our offices on Royal Exchange Square. Hours of work to be agreed and there can be a degree of flexibility on working hours up to 22.5 hours per week.

Salary: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
