What the role is
The Facilities Manager will report directly to the Country Partner and will be responsible for ensuring that the properties are well-maintained and that any necessary repairs or renovations are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.
What you will be doing
- Oversee all maintenance operations at the properties, including preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and emergency response.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with outside contractors and vendors, as needed.
- Ensure that all equipment and systems are functioning properly and that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure that equipment and systems are inspected and serviced regularly.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are in compliance with local and governmental regulations and guidelines.
- Respond to emergency situations, as needed, to ensure the safety and security of all residents and staff.
- Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring that all expenditures are controlled and that resources are used efficiently.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and contractors, ensuring that all materials and services are obtained at the most competitive prices.
What you need for the role
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance management.
- Knowledge of maintenance processes, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and outside contractors.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
