We are actively looking for an ambitious finance manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at an exciting time where we continue to grow the portfolio.

As a finance manager you will:

1. Be responsible for the groups’ financial management:

  • Comprised of a management company, a regulated subsidiary and investment vehicles. Overtime the group will add more investment structures and subsidiaries as it expands.
  • Covering all the normal finance items - accounting, banking, tax, financial planning, and management accounting.
  • Would be responsible for managing relevant external suppliers such as accountants and financial/tax advisers.

2. Lead on structure management:

  • Support structure - entity set-up, lead and ensure all reporting / filling complete, help evaluate appropriateness of structure overtime.
  • Lead on ensuring co-sec is managed on each entity.
  • Involvement in ensuring that regulated entities meet their obligations (reporting, etc)
  • Manage Investment close process – onboarding, deal execution and funds flow.

3. Portfolio company financial support:

  • Help provide financial input into the analysis team on new investments
  • Provide interim FC support to new businesses while they are building up their own financial processes and teams
  • Define best practice playbook for financial management.

Key traits we are looking for:

  • Ability to self-start and be very much hands on from the first day.
  • Work well and comfortably in a fast-paced, team-based environment with a high degree of individual autonomy.
  • Given the nature of this role, the person will need to be confidential and trustworthy.
  • Personable and able to build relationships with people of various backgrounds.
  • Someone able to apply pragmatism and flexibility to help address challenges in a quick and effective manner.
  • An ability to challenge themselves and others to make the biggest impact and progress.
  • A strong track record of academic / professional achievements.
  • Minimum 2-3 years in a similar role and a relevant accounting qualification (ACA or equivalent).
  • A mix of experience including accounting and other professional services is preferred but not essential.
