Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager/Financial Controller to join our team based at our head office in Thame, Oxfordshire. This is a full time, permanent position, working 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
The role of Finance Manager/Financial Controller is a senior role within our Finance function, in a Leadership/Management capacity. The principal responsibility is to drive team performance to ensure compliance with regulatory and group reporting requirements.
Reporting to the Finance Director your key areas of responsibility will be:
- Lead, coach, manage and develop 4 members of the accounting team including Management Accountant, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control functions.
- Responsible for the overall PL and BS reporting.
- Responsible for the provision of information and preparation of initial explanations to the Finance Director for the monthly finance reporting pack.
- Manage the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and cash flow reporting for Logisnext UK.
- Co-ordinate, manage and prepare, the calculation and execution of quarterly VAT return and associated VAT reporting, for Logisnext UK and submission of the Group VAT return.
- Co-ordinate, manage and provide information to External and Internal Auditors at quarterly, interim and year end audit, JSOX submissions for LUK. Promote governance across the business, with high focus on Internal Controls.
- Support the Finance Director in ensuring tax compliance, to include Corporation Tax, Employment Taxes and Indirect Taxes.
- Ensure, monthly balance sheet reconciliations are prepared for the purposes of completeness, existence, accuracy, valuation, correct ownership, and presentation. Ensuring that all reconciling items are investigated and cleared in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the implementation of ad hoc projects as considered necessary by the Finance Director
- To undertake any relevant ad-hoc duties and deputise for the FD in their absence.
Skills and Experience
To be consider for the position of Finance Manager/Financial Controller you must be ACCA qualified (not by exemptions) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Management/Financial Accountant capacity. Other skills and experience we will be looking for include:
- QBE with proven track record in team management and 5 years in similar role.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting and tax principles.
- Experience in compliance and internal controls driven environments.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel at the Intermediate level).
- Able to build effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous people management experience including development of staff.
- Organised and structured with good attention to detail, and a “can do” attitude.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated and self-driven with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to ‘bring people with them’ when implementing change.
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills
