The Role
Experience of working within substance misuse and or a related Health and Social Care setting is essential. The successful candidate must be committed, resourceful and highly motivated to engage service users within treatment services and promote recovery through their daily practice. This role will require the post holder to assess the needs of service users, deliver effective interventions,
An empathetic and non-judgmental approach is imperative, as this role involves working with a wide range of challenging issues and behaviours, and many difficult to engage clients. Good time management and team working skills are essential in this fast-paced service.
Key role responsibilities include:
- To deliver clinical interventions in community-based hubs.
- Improve healthcare access for service user, BBV testing/treatment, health care assessments and community ambulatory detox.
- To provide and supervise the delivery of high standards of nursing care to service users in accordance with up-to-date evidence based professional practice and WDP policies.
- To support service users affected by drug and alcohol use to achieve and sustain their recovery, optimising health, and well-being
- Being flexible in the hours worked will be expected of the post holder including late evenings.
