Responsibilities

  • General Ledger Accounting - Prepare and submit general ledger postings and reconcile ledgers, perform month and year end closing, reporting into group consolidation tool and respond to group queries. The successful candidate will be responsible for group accounts audit queries, payroll booking, management of stock count procedures and intercompany cost recharging.
  • Statutory Reporting - Prepare IFRS to LGAAP adjustments, preparation and filing of statutory accounts (2 entities) and being responsible for statutory accounts audit queries.
  • Fixed Assets & Projects - Manage fixed asset requests, write-offs and SAP project structures, being responsible for periodic fixed asset audit and IFRS 16 Leases bookings.
  • Cash Management & Banking - Bank relationship management, account reconciliations, approve bank payments (including payroll), cash flow forecasting and managing intercompany loan arrangements.
  • Tax - Approval of returns and payment of tax as prepared by external advisors, respond to tax queries from tax authorities/auditors, reconciliation of HMRC MSS reports and management of duty deferment account.
  • Accounts Payable and Travel & Expenses (T&E) - SAP Vendor Invoice Management portal processing, approval of payment runs, interactions with vendors, maintenance of T&E system, management of Corporate Card program and interactions with all employees regarding T&E.
  • Legal - Manage relationship with external legal counsel for ad hoc queries, manage Companies House filings and liaise with insurance broker for placement and management of local insurance policies.
  • Line management of the Finance Team (2) and managing our outsourced Legal, Insurance and IT providers
  • Overall responsibility for the financial compliance and controls of the company (approvals, processes etc.)

Experience

  • Relevant Accountancy qualification and proficient on SAP.
  • Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in finance & controlling roles.
  • Familiarity with respective local financial, legal, and tax requirements.
  • Experience preparing and filing statutory accounts and tax returns.

Salary and Benefits

Salary in the region of £55,000 - £60,000 per annum dependent on experience. You will be working 36.25 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
