The purpose of this role is to support finance solutions, which support the achievement of strategic business objectives through the proactive finance business partnering. Finance business partners will build a credible productive partnership with the Purchasing Function. This role will also maintain links to the central finance teams in terms of budgetary control and cross functional working.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Deliver finance solutions to support the strategic direction of the business while ensuring the Finance strategy/approach is aligned across production purchasing- Support the Functional Managers to achieve short and long term strategic objectives by delivering plans and initiatives through Finance Business Partnering
- Support Production Purchasing in identifying opportunities for negotiation with suppliers
- Prepare and present financial information such as forecasts, budgets and business plans to ensure strategic objectives are met
- Undertake detailed scenario planning and project scoping and management to achieve financial operational and strategic objectives
- Cross functional working with the wider finance community to deliver finance strategies / initiatives
- Support Finance Business Partner Manager’s with Business area short and long term financial forecasting
- Calculate finance sensitivities understanding key value levers and use financial analytics to identify opportunities to improve business performance
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
- Sound financial and commercial business insight shown through evidence of developing, introducing new or innovative practices/processes in support of strategic business goals
- Strong numerical, analytical skills supported by communication and presentation skills – used to translate financial issues for operational teams
- Ability to identify anomalies in data and interpret implications for both finance and non-finance professionals
- Proven strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and nurture relationships
- An eye for detail and the ability to balance delivery of conceptual work with attention to detail and hands on delivery
- A sound analytical background
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel
Desirable:
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mind set with the ability to identify and implement solutions and enhancements
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred
- CIMA/ACCA qualified or working towards
