Job description

The Creative Writing Specialist plans, creates and implements copy and long-form content that aligns with the client's overall Marketing and Brand strategy and brief. The employee produces persuasive, creative and engaging written content targeting various stages of the customer journey in the form of, but not exclusive to, headlines, website copy, emails, blogs, press releases, brochures, guest blogs and landing pages. A good understanding of SEO principles is required.

Responsibilities:

• Write and experiment with snappy, persuasive and engaging copy to capture attention and incite action across various marketing channels such as email, print material, ads and other graphics where copy is needed.
• Establish a unique tone of voice and writing style to suit the brand's persona and strategy.
• Continuously look for ways to improve content performance from ideation, publishing, distribution and/or repurposing.
• Plan and research content topics based on the marketing objectives, search volume, intent and target audience.
• Work collaboratively with the creative design team and head of marketing to ensure copy fits the brief and the design.
• Consistently optimise website content for customer experience, intent and SEO, including but not exclusive to product & category descriptions, landing page copy, blogs, and white papers.
• Use keyword research, search volumes and SEO best practices, as well as customer and market insights to influence content topics.
• Monitor content performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis using various tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush and reactive where necessary.
• Keep up to date on the latest trends.
• Measure and communicate performance metrics and KPIs every week at the team meeting.
• Prepare monthly reports on copy and content marketing efforts.
• Conduct influencer and/or PR outreach and create opportunities for guest blogging and backlinks.
• Research topics thoroughly to ensure accuracy and relevance to the market and client’s industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25.00-£30.00 per year

Experience:

• Copywriting or Content Writing: 1 year (preferred)
