Our Head Office Controlling Department is looking for a proactive, analytical Business Partner to join our team and partner with internal stakeholders across the business locally and internationally.
The Controlling Department provides support to executive management, operational departments and international colleagues and has responsibility over synthesising relevant key performance indicators to aid targeted management of all business processes within the company. We have moved to a hybrid working model with a recommended 2 days in the office per week for appropriate Head Office and Regional roles, empowering our teams to choose how and where they work best. What you'll do
- As a Business Partner, you will influence key business decisions by providing analysis and support by translating financial and non-financial information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Building strong relationships throughout the business to instil confidence and trust with key stakeholders both at executive management level and their respective teams.
- Monitoring and analysing KPIs, thereby identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
- Ability to challenge the status quo through insights.
- Supporting executive management projects and tasks as well as international requests.
- Supporting departmental tasks and independently manage projects, designing reports and tools that will add value and assist with key decision making.
- Management and ownership of the month end process including any potential accounting corrections, further analysis, and commentary.
- Creation and regular review of planned budgets.
- Financial planning and operational KPI planning.
- Manipulating and interpreting large sets of business data using Business Intelligence tools.
- Creating country and project specific reports.
What you'll need
- A highly commercial individual with a proven experience in a fast-paced environment.
- A passionate individual who can challenge processes, think creatively about how numbers can be transformed into key insights and drive the business forward.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to simplify and feedback to senior stakeholders, influencing decisions at all levels of the organisation.
- Problem solvers who are curious to get to the detail and reasoning behind the numbers.
- Broad & solid reporting experience: Ability to manipulate large data sets, standardise information from several sources/formats and possesses a good knowledge of Excel formula, functions, pivot tables, charts, and graphs. VBA is an advantage but not essential.
- Someone who enjoys new challenges, can adapt to change and able to take on new ways of working.
- Previous experience working with departments outside of Finance and managing stakeholders’ expectations.
- Microsoft Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to deliver accurate results.
- Ability to work on projects and solve problems independently.
