Finance Officer
Our Finance Department is looking for a Finance Officer to join the team. The role of finance officer will support with facilitating and recording the day to day financial transactions of the company.
Salary Banding: £23,000 to £25,000
Location: Itec House, Cardiff
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Working hours: 9:00am to 4:30pm
What are the core responsibilities of this role?
- Managing all aspects of payroll, including processing monthly wage payments, statutory payments and associated administration
- The day to day transactions for the company’s pension scheme
- Accountable for the reconciliation of monthly and yearly trainee allowances, support costs and travel against profile and contract value
- Generating monthly support cost declarations
- Overseeing the breakdown and reconciliation of weekly trainee payments for Sage
- Responsible for the commercial sales ledger, including maintenance of accurate records and debt recovery
- Responsible for processing company bank transactions
- Accountable for overseeing monthly bank reconciliation
- Responsible for overseeing staff mileage claims
- Accountable for quarterly VAT return
- Responsible for finance processes of additional contracts as required
- Responsible for responding to general finance queries, both internal and external, as required
What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?
Essential
- Previous administrative experience
- Previous experience in a financial role
- GCSE mathematics
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Work effectively within a team
- Ability to deliver results
- Sage Line 50
- IT Literate – Microsoft excel
This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company.
