Job Purpose
Entry level role partnering with the Finance Business Partner (Confectionery North-West Cluster) within Operations Finance team providing support to Operations management to provide accurate/timely/insightful reporting data/information and analysis to facilitate good decision-making driving Operations performance and profitability.
Key Accountabilities
- Clear / robust / insightful reporting, providing detailed understanding of business performance.
- Build relationships between Operations Finance and other Depts within the business to effectively manage key workflows in a timely manner and identify areas where work processes and decision making can be improved.
- Involvement as Finance representative for Site(s) reporting / analysis / review processes, potentially from amongst: (a) capacity / operational effectiveness (OEE) / Labour reviews, (b) wastage analysis, stock take reviews, GRNI reconciliation and creditor reconciliations, (c) overhead costs reporting and analysis including utilities, maintenance, people, general overheads, (d) capital expenditure project tracking and accounting tasks;
- Keep the company systems up to date with product updates, new product launches, product materials / Labour costs and overheads rates.
- Work within the Change Management Process (CMP) with responsibility for creation/addition within ERP of new SKUs, new material codes, new Bill of Materials (BOMs) and recipes, new standard costs, edit of other key ERP masterdata, and triggering actions for appropriate validation/sign-off of new/changed masterdata.
- Work as part of the Operations Finance team, sharing learnings, and complying with the financial controls and reporting timetables in line with business requirements.
- Ensure completion of month end to deadlines within your scope of responsibility, providing commentary as needed to explain performance/variances for your areas.
- Completion and ownership of accurate and controlled balance sheet reconciliations
- Other Finance related support / project work as required.

Lead by example to set expectations, plan work to be carried out in a safe manner, take action to prevent risk of harm to their team. Challenge and address unsafe behaviour, be involved in testing emergency procedures, lead accident & incident investigations to establish root causes and preventative measures. Deliver safety briefings to your team so you are seen as the safety leader of your team. Make available team embers to support the company safety program.

Experience and Qualifications
- Fully-qualified AAT, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant, or degree-level finance/accounting, with intent to continue study.
- Strong IT skills, particularly XL and use of accounting systems (Valeo Confectionery on Sage).
- Ideally some experience working in a manufacturing financial environment.
- Full driving licence for occasions when travel to sites.
