Job description
We are seeking a Parks Systems and Performance Officer to support the Parks Performance and Systems Manager in ensuring that the all data and systems required to deliver and monitor the services performed by the Parks Service are in place.
To maximise the use of performance and information systems to support the work of the service and ensure that performance data is interactive and presented using engaging visualisation tools.
The post holder will provide support on data analysts work on information management. This involves the collection and cleansing of data and conducting a range of analytical studies on that data. Report the results of data analysis activities which helps the team make changes to improve the services of the Parks Service.
In the role of Parks Performance and Systems Officer you will be working directly for the Parks Performance and Systems Manager in ensuring that the all data and systems required to deliver and monitor the services performed by the Parks Service are in place.
The post holder will provide support on data analysts work on information management. This involves the collection and cleansing of data and conducting a range of analytical studies and GIS Mapping of sites. This data will help the service make changes to improve the quality of works undertaken, ensuring we deliver high quality parks and green spaces for the Islington community. This will support the Parks Service in delivery on its Parks for Health Strategy.

Working with the Parks Systems Officer to ensure that all data held in IT systems used by the Parks Service is kept updated.
To provide assistance and support in the monitoring of the ground's maintenance service ensuring specifications, quality standards and statutory requirements e.g. health and safety are achieved.
To monitor the in-house service work programme. To issue rectifications for noncompliance, for additional works and issue rectifications where the service is not delivering to the specified standards.
To maintain an effective working partnership with our clients to ensure the outputs identified in the SLA and contractual agreements are met.
Work with experienced officers to collate, analyse, manage, interpret and present data.
Assist with the development of an apprenticeship post in the team that will provide technical support to enhance the use of current systems and/or develop new systems as required.
To work with the Assistant Parks Managers, Grounds Operations Managers and all GM Service Clients e.g., Estate Services, friends of groups, gardening groups etc. to ensure the effective day to day management of the areas under our management and to ensure that they are maintained to a high standard. This includes making suggestions for improvements of the sites where identified.
To develop and support successful award applications such as Green Flag and London in bloom.
Development and implementation of annual improvement works across parks and housing sites
Working with the Parks Systems Officer to ensure newly adopted green spaces are accurately measured, mapped and brought onto the Bill of Quantities.
Support the Performance and Systems team with finance and HR systems as necessary.
To undertake other duties commensurate to the grade of the post.
