Job description
The Role of the Management Accounts section is to deliver Financial Budgetary Reporting and Financial Advice on budgetary control, Cost Reduction, business cases and other finance related issues to the Trust as a whole and on its constituent service areas. Part of this process involves the annual setting of service budgets of approximately £750m for the Trust and the delivery of regular financial reporting on the performance of these budgets to key managers and budget holders.
1. To support the Directorate Finance team in the delivery of the day to day operation of the budgetary control cycle for a Trust Directorate, ensuring that monthly accruals are routinely raised, reports are produced, variances investigated and managers statements promptly distributed.
2. To ensure that financial information is provided to budget holders in a timely, accurate and reliable manner
3. To investigate financial enquiries, providing assistance and advice as required
4. To ensure work is completed in a timely manner in accordance with Trust timetables
5. To supervise the workload of the team’s junior staff.
6. To support the Directorate Finance Manager in the budget setting process
