About the Finance Analyst role
Reporting into the Finance Business Partner for Operations (UK & Ireland), as a Finance Analyst at Kinnerton you will provide support to the operational team at our Sherburn factory, helping to run the operational activity and drive good performances.

Finance Analyst – Kinnerton Confectionery (Sherburn Site)

About the Finance Analyst role
Reporting into the Finance Business Partner for Operations (UK & Ireland), as a Finance Analyst at Kinnerton you will provide support to the operational team at our Sherburn factory, helping to run the operational activity and drive good performances.
Key responsibilities of a Finance Analyst at Kinnerton
- Ensure the timely and accurate production of the monthly management accounts, adhering to group standards and deadlines
- Analysis of the month-end result and preparation of Ops commentary
- Production and analysis of material variances (wastage and stock adjustments impact)
- Production and analysis of labour variances (efficiencies and rate impact)
- Overheads cost centre management (weekly reviews with Operations stakeholders)
- Weekly/monthly site performance analysis (KPIs and dashboards)
- Attend daily/weekly operations meetings and assist in performance reviews as Finance operations partner in the SLT
- Pro-actively work with the Operations team to identify opportunities that will drive improvement savings
- Tracking of CAPEX spends and support the team with the projects financial planning
- Lead the Budget process for the site operation finances
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reforecasts for the site operation finances
- Assist with year-end audit
- Being the Finance referent on site and assist where necessary the Accounts Team with invoicing process
- Production of Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Identify opportunities to develop and improve financial processes
Skills you’ll need to succeed in our Finance Analyst role:
- Some experience within a Finance Analyst/ Accountant or Management Accountant position would be beneficial
- Experience in dealing with month-end and accounts closure
- Strong Excel skills
- Curious, proactive and self-driven
- Ability to communicate well at all levels up to senior stakeholders across the business
- Part-qualification in an accounting professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
