The role:
The Finance Analyst role is to support Clarins FP&A team by providing accurate financial analysis and reliable revenue and cost forecast.
This role requires good numerical and presentation skills, as Clarins FP&A team works with several stakeholders across the business, all of which are looking for financial guidance when making decisions for the company.
The FP&A team act as a key partner to the business, which is why the Finance Analyst role is suitable for someone who strives for continuously improving processes, without compromising on report accuracy and on-time delivery.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have a passion for retail, possess a “we can do” attitude and be a team player.
What you’ll do:
- Investigate P&L and Balance Sheet variances vs budget, last year’s actuals, etc.;
- Update and distribute weekly/monthly/quarterly trade reports to the business;
- Assist the FP&A team when updating the annual company budget and 3-year business plan;
- Consolidate and summarise large sets of financial data in a readable and professional format;
- Continuously improve work practices and share them with the rest of the team when relevant;
- Keep up to date with the latest company projects, new products sold and the latest news about the UK economy, particularly in the beauty sector.
You are:
- At the early stages of CIMA, ACCA or ACA studies.
- Confident in building relationships and working collaboratively to drive future progression.
- Highly organised and have the ability to work on different priortities at one time.
You have:
- BS degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
- Retail experience preferred, but not essential.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Microsoft Excel minimum requirement is the ability to use the main functions (SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, IF, etc.) and being able to create pivot table and charts.
- Good communications skills verbal and written, confident to speak publicly and present information adapted to a varied audience.
- Ability to methodically plan, organise, and use systems and analyse data on a timely basis.
- Capability to build and nurture business relationships with key people in the UK and France.
