Job description

The AXA Partners Finance Team is looking for an ambitious and motivated Finance Analyst to become a key member of the FP&A team, providing high quality insight and analysis to senior managers within our business. This role is being offered on a hybrid contract based at our Redhill office and attracts a salary circa 32k depending on experience.

Key responsibilities will be supporting Expenses Manager in the delivering as follows:

Production of the AXA Travel Insurance P&L accounts

  • Preparation and submission of quarterly result to group via AXA’s consolidation system
  • Calculation of expense pre-payments and accruals
  • Production and posting of month end journals
  • Producing variance analysis on key overhead changes


Production of management reports and analysis to support business decision making process

  • Departmental Cost Tracking analysis to support key budget holders around the business.
  • Support senior management team with expert added value analysis
  • Support in preparation and production of contract profitability reporting


Production and reconciliation of AXA Travel Insurance Intercompany balance sheet accounts

  • Production of key Inter-Company reconciliations and recharge accounts, multiple currencies
  • Liaising with internal & external partners within AXA Group to agree IC balances.
  • Working closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payables team to manage outstanding balances
  • Preparation of Intecompany billing invoices


Preparation of budgets and forecasts

  • Assist in preparing and managing forecasting model
  • Assist in production of commentary schedules for management and group
  • Liaise with business managers to ensure accuracy and suitability of budgets
  • Assist in Group bi-annual cashflow budgeting


Other support to cost accounting team

  • Assisting in VAT return calculation
  • Assisting in preparing relevant audit evidence for Statutory and Internal Audit

Your Profile

  • University Graduate (2:1 or higher)
  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA) – Studying
  • Strong Excel skill
  • Analytical person who enjoys problem solving
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, positive attitude with the ambition to progress within the organisation
  • Team player
  • Commercial mind-set
