Salary: £22,000 - £23.700 per annum
Hours: 09.00 -17.30 hours , shared on call and weekend availability

Core Responsibilities

  • You will be the first face of Caremark that all new clients meet, carrying out the initial assessment to establish the care needs and requirements
  • By carrying out thorough risk assessments and analysis, you will be responsible for ensuring that all risk and safety is managed to keep our clients safe
  • You will ensure that all client visits are always covered and that continuity is managed
  • To be on-call in case of emergency. This will be carried out on a rota basis every other week
  • Liaise closely with Care Coordinators regarding recruitment, permanent allocation of Care & Support Workers and the writing of Care & Support Agreements
  • To allocate suitable alternative Care & Support Workers when an existing Care & Support Worker notifies that they are unable to attend a call
  • Facilitating the practical induction of all new Care & Support Workers while also being involved in new employee inductions and providing on hand training in the field
  • Carrying out client reviews, obtaining feedback, gaining insight into how the service is doing from the client’s perspective. Working towards continuous improvement
  • Monitor, supervise and mentor all Care & Support Workers in the field
  • Provide support to all Care & Support Workers in the field
  • To encourage and identify opportunities for Care & Support Workers continuing professional development.
  • To ensure that all written reports and administration is up to date.
  • To maintain close liaison with both the Care Manager and Care Coordinator.
  • Field Care Supervisors are responsible for the efficient running of their own specific, defined areas and should vary their hours of work in order to effectively monitor and support all Care & Support Workers and clients.
  • The Field Care Supervisor spends approximately 95% of their working week in the field with the remaining 5% in the office in order to complete the necessary administrative duties

Skills Required

  • A Field Care Supervisor requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage their time. This can be a busy role, so the ability to ensure that all the requirements are met, while ensuring that all documentation is in place to meet legislation and regulation
  • You will have excellent level of English communication and be confident when writing person centered care plans and risk assessments. The ability to identify needs, and integrate these into the care plan is vital
  • You will have a good knowledge of Risk Assessing and be confident when carrying this out
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to ensure that you work in an encouraging and positive manner is essential
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and the ability to multi task in this fast paced and dynamic role
