We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Precious Metals Assistant
The primary purpose of this role will be to support all HSBC Precious Metals business including Trade Processing, Metal Clearing, ETFs, Balance Sheet Management, Reconciliations plus providing cover for Physical and Shipping transactions.
In this role, you will:
- Process Precious and Base metals trades in PMCalypso including outgoing confirmations and invoices and provide support for Front Office, Operations management and various stakeholders
- Ensure accurate processing and timely execution of all client metal transfer instructions within market deadlines
- Review daily reconciliations ensuring any breaks have been comprehensively investigated
- Ensure accurate processing of all Physical/Shipping movements in compliance with latest Financial Crime and Compliance policies
- Effectively handle any client queries and contribute to all new due diligence requests and ensure Desk Instructions are updated
To be successful in this role you should meet the following:
- Proven track record of working within finance/investment operations
- Some knowledge of the Precious Metals market and clearing procedures such as metals settlements/operations is highly advantageous
- Strong communication skills with exposure to dealing with external clients
- Ability to prioritise and manage a large and varied workload, comfortable with working to stringent deadlines
- Flexible in your approach to tasks, possess strong analytical skills and have an eye for detail
The base location for this role is London
