Fibre Installation Engineer
As a Fibre Installation Engineer, you will be in a customer facing role carrying fibre installations at residents or commercial premises. This will include external and internal working.
You will be expected to:
- Carry out you own risk assessments prior to starting works.
- Adhere to health and safety all times.
- Carry out your installations safely to the required standards and specifications set out by our client.
- Always carry yourself in a professional and friendly manner.
- Have experience in a customer facing role.
- Able to follow instructions using smart devices.
- Be comfortable working at heights climbing ladders and utility poles.
- Install fibre cable to customer or commercial properties.
- Install a network connection point in the premises.
- Explain the installation process and new connection to the customer ensuring that they fully understand how it works.
You will need:
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Clear and concise communicator.
- Basic fibre splicing knowledge (desirable)
- Full UK driving license.
- Hold a valid NRSWA street works Operative unit 2 card (desirable)
- Hold or have held PIA accreditations (desirable)
- Confident working at heights and in underground fibre network.
