OFNL have been connecting UK homes to our open access fibre network since 2008 and we are recruiting for a Fibre Field Engineer in the East,to facilitate the maintenance and incident response for events on the OFNL network. We are looking for someone to be based in Colchester, Cambridge or Bury St Edmunds.

You must have experience of FTTH networks and Fibre Splicing and it is essential you have a full UK drivers’ license and CSCS Card.

Responsibilities will include -

· Provide on-site support for both Assure and Provide team functions in the Network Operations Centre

· Ensuring that all work is undertaken to a high standard of safety and technical quality by following all appropriate generic and specific method statements, work procedures and safety instructions.

· Attend broadband, telephone and TV reception service faults in customer premises.

· Act as first responder to OFNL incidents in your region.

· Diagnosing on site faults to identify root cause and implementing the desired fix in accordance to the Service Level Agreement.

· Perform periodic maintenance of network assets as required.

· Work safely at all times wearing relevant PPE that is supplied.

· Complete all relevant paperwork accurately to the desired standard and return within the communicated timeframe.

· Optic Fibre repair - Customer facing singleton working in customers premises, homes, offices, schools etc and off site in the Openreach underground access network (confined spaces).
